To ensure that all students have an opportunity to make an advising appointment, the Undergraduate Advising Center assigns specific weeks, or “windows”, to each class level (e.g., sophomores) or program. Below, you can see when your advisor’s window is for your class or program. During an advising window, appointments will only be viewable by students in that window. Drop-In hours will still be viewable by all students, in case you need help with something other than schedule planning for next semester.
If you do not make an appointment during your advising window, your advisor will be happy to help you during the open advising period listed at the end of their advising windows.
Not sure who is your advisor?
You can find this information on your Student Online Advising Record (SOAR) in one.iu.edu. Your advisor will also email you before the beginning of your window and include a link where you can sign up for an appointment.
If you are assigned multiple advisors, you can schedule an appointment with any of those advisors during their advising window for your class or program.
